Maybe I should comment on the violence that takes place on the September 11Th riots they have in Chile every year, in commemoration of the military coup in 1973, where Salvador Allende was killed ( or committed suicide.. ) and thousands of people died during and after the coup.... The result being, Augusto Pinochet coming into power. Then there is the tragedy of the September 11Th attacks on the Twin Towers in New york in 2001, where thousands of people died, and until today, many of their families still mourn. Just the brutality of those two tragedies, still leave us years later in shock. These events are always very well covered by the media, and so does not need any extra opinions from me. But we still remember.....And our condolences are still with those families...
So let's look at some positive events that took place recently. My comments and kudos today, goes towards a very young lady from Trinidad and Tobago.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you to Priya Seeram. This little girl of only, 5 years of age, has just made news, not only in Trinidad, but in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. Why all the fuss? Very well, for more info go to, www.Trinidad Express.com, then put her name in articles for her story. Now, let me just say, that I am very proud of this little girl, for her bravery in front of an experience she went through. If you ask me, I would say that she has put many of us to shame. How many of us would see a crime in play, but just close our eyes and look the next way. Most people might even say that she is too young to know what scared is. Again I would say that is really naive, since it has been proven that kids younger than this, knew fright according to various cases. So there you have it, this little girl stood up to an attacker trying to kidnap her cousin, when she realized that she really could not fight off the guy, she ran off to get help. For me, it doesn't really matter how much distance she ran, as this is under speculation, but she did it! So let us analyze our selves now. How many times have we seen people in need of help, may it be, robbery on the streets, someone stealing someone else's car, a burglar going into some one's home, a victim being raped etc, etc. We have seen those actions, and have done nothing! Many people have refused to be witnesses to crimes that they have seen, for fear. Imagine, in many of these cases, one only has to pick up the telephone and make just one call, but didn't, because of fear of retribution....All of us should be ashamed!! Try, just try to learn something from this girl, learn that us law abiding citizens should be each others keeper. If you are worried of what delinquents are doing to our neighborhoods, then pick up the damn phone! People should not let the criminals take away our security, it is easy to blame the police, or the government or whoever else we want to blame, but who we should blame is our selves for not blowing the whistle when we should. Think about what you have just read, and let's take back our neighborhoods from the delinquents!
This is a site that would touch ground on what goes on in the mind of the author of this page.
