Who Would Think...

Who would think, we all look for the hero, and he or she maybe right there in front of us. We always look for that person that can bring hope again to a society that has just lost heart. It would be nice when we would have the opportunity to say " Wow, you saw what that guy just did? " " I wish I could do that " " Now that's a good heart! ". You want a hero? Then I'll give you one. There is this old guy in the La Florida community that does his area a favour, and I don't think anyone appreciates it. He is homeless, dirty, maybe another one of those nutcases that plagues our streets.

Heroes Come In All Shapes, Sizes And Colours

Wrong!! What does he do that is so special? He gathers pregnant stray dogs and takes care of them, sleeps side by side with them, begs for food and money so that he can feed himself and the dogs. When the pups are born and are of age, he puts them on the blankets that he sleeps on, displaying them for John public in the hopes that some one would have sympathy and take one home. Why all the fuss, they are only animals. The fuss is that this guy help his community, if not on a grand scale, at least of the problems with stray dogs on the streets. Dogs on the streets can be a problem, they upset the garbage bins, some has diseases that can infect us, dog attacks, dogs getting run over and left there to smell, I can go on and on....This guy apparently has nothing to his name, and so live as he lives. But he helps, that is his good deed.

He shows us where we are lacking when it comes to helping. Some would say that he is crazy, but then again in general, heroes are crazy, they do what ordinary people won't do and that is what counts. So kudos to you sir and all that you stand for. Thank you for your part in helping our community, and if I see you when passing by, I would do what I can to help. Keep it up!!!
